Raynor Eissens

Independent researcher, builder, and creator based in the Netherlands, working across AI systems, interfaces, ambient computing, games, preservation, and experimental software.

Raynor Eissens is an independent researcher, builder, and creator based in the Netherlands. He operates primarily under madeby.re, including research.madeby.re and related projects.

His work spans AI systems, interfaces, institutional design, and ambient computing, with a particular focus on what changes when machine intelligence becomes abundant and how the systems surrounding it can remain inspectable, measurable, portable, and reversible.

Main focus

Systems around abundant intelligence

His research explores reversibility in AI systems, attention and trust, continuity and identity, power architecture, ambient computing, and distributed cognition.

ReversibilityExit costs, migration, portability, and the ability to leave or change systems without losing everything that makes them useful.
Continuity + trustHow identity, memory, authority, and coordination remain coherent as intelligence and interfaces move across devices and services.
Ambient computingHow computation changes when the visible app, screen, or individual agent is no longer the primary organizing surface.
Power architectureHow capability, viability, control, attention, and institutional structure shape what technological systems actually become.

His work includes conceptual papers, comparative frameworks, synthesis notes, and empirical research programs published through research.madeby.re and external archives.

Concepts developed across this work include the Raynor Stack, the Three-Axis Model, the Ambient Era, residue identity, reversible stress, and research into the transition from bounded agents and devices toward more ambient forms of computation.

Other work

Games, localizations, preservation, and strange software

Beyond research, he builds browser games and experimental playable artifacts such as Kloojo, GPTGTA, and SlopWorm, preservation projects including Mirror’s Edge browser preservation, and fan localizations including Xenosaga I+II DS in Dutch and English, Phantasy Star Nova, and Gloria Union.

He also develops AI-assisted tools, reconstruction systems, and experimental software under the madeby.re umbrella.

Pokémon Emerald

Making hidden game state visible while the game is running

He also develops Pokémon Emerald as a live browser-emulation environment in which normally hidden game state is surfaced while the game is running.

Its PokéField layer exposes values such as IVs, EVs, Nature, Ability, Gender, and Hidden Power as Pokémon appear, connects that live state to callable tools, and feeds it into a Smogon-informed Strategy Dex for moves, roles, training, and team analysis.

The project also externalizes social systems already latent in Emerald, including trainer identity and Secret Bases, into a persistent online Hoenn layer.

In short

Raynor Eissens is a self-directed independent researcher and multidisciplinary creator investigating the systemic consequences of abundant machine intelligence while also building games, interfaces, tools, preservation projects, and experimental systems that make otherwise hidden computational structures visible and usable.
